Join Anthropic co-founder and Chief Science Officer Jared Kaplan, Sir John Bell, and leaders from UK science, policy, and research-led business for a morning of conversation and demonstration on how AI can support scientific progress.
AI is opening new possibilities for science, and the UK is well placed to lead in this area. Many of science’s great leaps came when new instruments let researchers see and test what they couldn’t before, and the UK has been at the centre of many of them. We believe AI can be the next of these instruments when used responsibly. As with those before it, what matters most is what scientists do with it.
This event brings together senior leaders from across UK science, research, policy, and business. Together, we’ll look at how AI can support each stage of scientific work, from early-stage research and the lab to drug development and the prediction and prevention of disease.
We’ll share how we are working with UK science so far, along with the questions that remain most uncertain. We invite the scientific community to test, challenge, and help work on them.
This is a participatory event. Guests will see demonstrations of Claude in scientific work, join breakout sessions, and speak directly with Anthropic researchers.
Anthropic in London: AI and Science will bring together senior leaders working on AI and science in the UK. This includes senior scientists, AI and machine learning researchers, science-focused policymakers, heads of R&D and research-focused CTOs, journalists, and ethicists.
In-person space is limited and every registration is reviewed. We'll confirm your place by email.
Got it! If you haven’t yet, you can get started on the Build Plan and begin using Claude via the API and Workbench now.
